About the Election Resource Hub

Public scrutiny of election administration has only increased in recent years, highlighting the need for expanded access to unbiased, empirical research, results-oriented solutions, and strong partnerships in this field. 

The Election Resource Hub seeks to bridge the gap between researchers and academics, serving as the go-to resource for election officials, scholars, and practitioners seeking to access nonpartisan resources on different areas of election administration. This project builds on the 2023 MEDSL project Mapping Election Administration and Election Science, which identified seven key topic areas that are central to the convenience, security, and accuracy of U.S. elections: voter trust, voting in person, voting by mail, voter registration accuracy and security, poll worker and election official recruitment and retention, usability and accessibility, and audits and validating election results.

Each election guide is developed in collaboration with subject matter experts, and provides an overview of the topic, summarizes relevant academic literature, answers common questions, and provides real-world examples of how practitioners have put key findings into practice. Alongside each guide, the Election Resource Hub’s comprehensive resource library makes it easy to find the latest research, tools, and other materials in a variety of formats
